Did my first ever radio interview today in Portsmouth with Rob Richardson at Express FM 93.7 The purpose of the session was to discuss what I am doing this year in terms of writing and to share my experience of Rob’s wonderful Write-Invite project which seems to grow from strength to strength. The regular on-line competition held on Saturdays at 5.30pm is now attracting interest from writers in other countries as far afield as India which is amazing. Read back 3 short stories ( two gloomy ones and one about a transvestite ) and talked through how the writing was going. It was an interesting experience and I have to say it felt a little strange being interviewed rather than the other way around. Enjoyed it though and will remember to switch on the radio on Tuesday 17th to hear it. Rounded off the morning in a truely media-professional and adult manner by going to feed the rabbits in Victoria Park.

Dutch rabbits
No reason for posting this other than the fact that this baby Dutch is so cute. Also gives Dad a chance to lament the times when he had to clean out Jessie and Josie when we were children. Aw Dad – come on – was it really so bad ?

Giant rabbit breeds
Well,,,,take a look at this site…arn’t they darlings ? Rabbits are one of the most misunderstood animals – they are kind, sociable and good fun. Too often they are banished to small hutches and not allowed to roam freely or interact with other rabbits or humans. Ian has again been shown this website and encouraged to re-home a giant breed. So far he has described them as ‘useless things’ and ‘ugly’. Well……we’ll see. Take a look at the pictures of the rabbits needing to be re-homed – they are gorgeous.

Arid on the rabbit front
Cannot believe husband’s revised approach to rabbit acquisition. We had a draft agreement but he has now tabled an unacceptable counter offer which is incapable of acceptance due to the new regime for rabbit keeping being proposed. Pebbles and Arnie, two rabbits up for adoption at a llocal re-homing centre, need our assistnace to secure them a safe and loving home. Such cruelty from the husband. I shall shortly be turning up the pressure on this particular issue.
Rabbit hunt
We have still to locate the rabbits I have been promised in the Spring. In fact I am now sensing a reluctance on the part of my other half to start looking. There are plenty of animal sanctuaries in the local area which we could easily visit. Note to self: Must start to ramp up the pressure again in the form of persistence to ensure suitable rabbits are obtained. Plan to start such action this week end…watch this space…..
